A negative COVID-19 test a temporary condition for flying to Iceland with PLAY

As of Thursday July 29, PLAY will not bring passengers to Iceland unless they have valid proof of a negative COVID-19 test. This decision is made to ensure the safety of both passengers and crew members as well as abiding by the recent rules of Iceland’s Health Ministry.

PLAY’s decision is based on the recent changes made by the Icelandic government and PLAY’s Terms & Conditions which state that the company reserves the right to deny boarding to abide by governmental laws, regulations, and instructions or to ensure public safety.

“It is our primary obligation and duty to ensure the safety of our passengers and crew members on board. Allowing people to board without a valid negative COVID-19 test is not an option. This is a temporary measure with the sole purpose of ensuring safety,” says Mr. Birgir Jónsson, PLAY’s CEO.
