What are the travel documents and visa requirements?
All passengers require a valid passport or valid travel document to check in for our flights. This includes adults, children, and infants.
While global travel can be full of surprises and unknowns, your experience at the airport shouldn't be.
Be a prepared and confident globetrotter and go over this checklist to ensure a comfortable journey through the world's airports and immigration checkpoints.
- Carry all necessary travel documents as required by the destination country with regard to your country of origin. Travel documents include visas, ESTAs, vaccination records, etc.
- Carry a passport valid for at least 90 days beyond your travel period.
- Many countries require proof of a return journey and a first destination address so be sure to carry this information with you.
It is the responsibility of the traveler to gather information about and obtain required travel documents, visas and travel authorizations (as applicable) needed for entry into the destination country.
PLAY is not responsible for the denial of entry into the destination country should passengers fail to present a negative COVID-19 test, a valid vaccination certificate or any other documents the destination country may require. Passengers travel at their own risk and are responsible for adhering to domestic quarantine & isolation rules at their destination and any fines related to violation of those rules.

Traveling through Keflavik Airport in Iceland
Passengers, traveling onward through Keflavík International Airport in Iceland, that do not hold a passport from a Schengen Member State, do not need a Schengen transit visa unless leaving the transit area. That means that if you are just passing through the airport, on your way to your destination, you do not need a Schengen visa. Please note that this does not apply to passengers traveling with a passport from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, The Democratic Republic of Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia, and Sri Lanka. Keep in mind that if you're traveling onwards with another airline you will have to pick up your baggage and check in again with the other airline. That means that you will have to leave the transit area. Passengers visiting Iceland before continuing their travel need to make sure that they are allowed to visit the Schengen area before entering the country. Citizens of the United States with a valid U.S. Tourist passport (blue passport) can travel within the Schengen Area for a maximum of 90 days without having to apply or obtain a Schengen visa for short-term tourism or a business trip. Read more here.
Traveling to the United Kingdom
When arriving in the UK your passport will be checked upon arrival. It must be valid for the length of your stay. A valid visa might also be required before entering the country, depending on your nationality and purpose of stay. Read more here.
The UK requires all passengers to send additional personal information before traveling there, API (Advanced Passenger Information). You can fill out the required information through MyPLAY or during online check in. It is really easy and should only take a few minutes, but for those that do not remember their passport numbers, eye color and height - we recommend keeping your passports close at hand.
Traveling to the United States
Citizens of certain countries can travel to the United States without a visa under the Visa Waiver Program. To be able to travel to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program, travelers need to apply for an Electronic System Travel Authorisation (ESTA). ESTA applications must be submitted at least 72 hours prior to departure to the USA. Please note that without a visa or an ESTA approval, travelers are at risk of being denied boarding.
