How does the liquid ban work?

It's important to stay hydrated, but wait until after your security screening

The Liquid Ban

You are not allowed to bring liquid containers in your carry-on bag that are more than 100 ml each. But wait, there's more!

The items that you do bring must all fit in a 1-liter resealable plastic bag (one bag per person). Please note that you must remove the bag from your cabin bag and have it screened separately.

Exceptions are made for:

  • Baby food and milk/formula/juice.
  • All prescriptions and regular medication that is essential during the flight. Passengers can bring medication and food for special dietary requirements on board without a prescription or any other documentation to justify it.
  • Passengers are allowed to bring STEBS-bags, that fulfill the official requirements of these bags, no matter where they come from or how long ago they purchased liquids in the bag.

All liquids need to be removed from the carry-on bag and screened separately.

Please note that the liquid ban only applies to carry-on baggage, not checked baggage.
