Party On in Hamburg

Hamburg is one of Germany’s top tourist destinations for its history, culture, and canals. Germany’s second-biggest city—with a population of over 1.8 million—has over 2,500 bridges, numerous UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and is Germany’s largest port, playing an integral role in Europe’s largest economy.

However, Hamburg is also home to some of the best nightlife in Europe (if not the world). With a selection of outstanding nightclubs and bars, the lively port city offers the ultimate night-out experience for people of all tastes.

Here are some of the best things to do when you party in Hamburg:

1. Herzblut St. Pauli

The popular Herzblut, translating to heart’s blood in German, is a cocktail bar, restaurant, and nightclub mixed as one—making it the perfect place to start your Hamburg night out. Jordan Mozer, a well-known American designer, designed the interior of the club, resulting in an eloquent interior.

The venue has an eclectic cocktail menu, including Cuba Libre, Touch Down, Der Grinch, Bahama Mama, and much more. Also, the food menu has plenty of delicious treats to get your party started.

2. Molotow

If you’re looking for a superb underground club, look no further than Molotow. Famous for its excellent indie rock, unforgettable parties, and post-rock concerts, Molotow is a great place to dance the night away. Many legendary bands, including the White Stripes, The Killers, The Hives, and Mando Diao, played in Molotow before gaining global success.

The Molotow found a new home recently after circumstances forced it to move several times. Now, you’ll find it in the west end of Reeperbahn, offering guests three floors of fun in the club, the Karatekeller, and the SkyBar.

They had one goal: to earn money from playing live music and have a great time. That’s precisely what they did; they truly mastered their craft in this city and played in this club many times.

But not only that, many tremendous performers have played there. Head to the scenic Galerie 36 upstairs for excellent cocktails and Latino music. You’ll also often find artwork exhibitions there.

Whereas on the lower floor, you’ll find a more hip, underground vibe. If you love indie music, visit Moondoo on Fridays because it’ll feature alternative music with special guest DJs. What’s more, the locally famous ‘Saturday Night Wildstyle’ is well worth the visit and the most popular event of the week.
